One more step — create a new team, or join one you've been invited to.
Edit titles, set start/end dates, remove any you don't need, or add more. Sort by date once you've set them, then confirm to add to the schedule.
Look for a small "?" next to a field for a quick explanation. For anything broader, here's a start:
Task jotting is a disposable scratchpad — write down tasks there, click "Build as task list?", and it clears itself. Notes / ideas is for anything else (decisions, links, general thoughts) and is never cleared automatically.
The manager has full control over the project's tasks — editing titles/dates/assignees, adding or deleting tasks. A task's own assignee(s) can only update that one task's status, nothing else, unless they're also the manager.
How much area one unit of the material covers (e.g. one gallon of paint, one box of tile) — printed on the specific product's own packaging, since it varies by brand. The app can't guess this for you.
Estimate is planning-stage — what you expect to spend. Actual is what you've really purchased/paid. The Costs tab totals both separately and shows the variance between them.
Each task counts for a fraction of the total: "done" counts fully, "in progress" counts as half, everything else counts as none. The percentage is that sum divided by the total number of tasks.
Use the "Feedback" tab up top for bugs/suggestions/praise. To invite someone to your team, go to People — "Invite a teammate" for your own team, or ask the admin for a signup link if you're looking to start your own team.
Assign any number of people to this task.
Estimate material — just the material and how much you'll need. Cost, vendor, and links get added later in the Costs tab.
Measure the area you need to cover. Most surfaces are simple rectangles — a wall is just length × height. Add one row per wall/ceiling and the app sums them.
